What is Cohousing

Cohousing is a lifestyle. Cohousing provides the perfect combination of privacy and community.  It is a creative way for people to have their own private units and shared common space.  It is a neighbourhood in a unique green building and healthy environment.

Cohousing is a concept that came to North America in 1988 from Denmark, where it emerged in the early 1960s. It describes neighbourhoods that combine the autonomy of private dwellings with the advantages of shared resources and community living.

Cohousing communities are established around three principles that make them unique from traditional neighborhoods. They emphasize growing the community, increasing sustainability, and aging successfully. Most cohousing communities are designed to foster intergenerational connectivity, offering opportunities to live among people in all stages of life.
